Frances Irene (Frazier) Baskins

Frances Irene (Frazier) Baskins, 79, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away from this life on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Frances was born May 22, 1943, in Wynne, Arkansas to Alvin Frazier and Annie Irene (Hamrick) Frazier.

Frances was united in marriage to Clyde Edward Baskins on December 19, 1959, at Wynne, Arkansas, and to this union four children were born. Frances spent her working years as a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Frances loved spending time with her family, cooking, going to rummage sales, playing the guitar and singing. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Frances leaves to mourn her passing, husband, Clyde Baskins, Sr. of the home in Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Clyde Baskins, Jr. (Tammy) of Colt, Arkansas and Mark Baskins of Wynne, Arkansas; two daughters, Karen Reed (Rickey) of Wynne, Arkansas and Laura “Nikki” Chism (Gary) of Salem, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, Kelly Watts (Tony), Justin Reed (Amber), Chris Huckaba (Jessica), Kenneth Baskins (Hannah), Jake Huckaba, Jeffery Chism (Alysha), Cody Baskins (Bailee), Madison Baskins, and Allison Baskins; eighteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Nell Caudell of Greenbrier, Arkansas and Mary Jane Oswalt (Ray) of Forrest City, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine brothers.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Smith Chapel Baptist Church in Wynne, Arkansas with Ray Oswalt and Bro. Henry Parker officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Smith Chapel Baptist Church. The interment will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery in Wynne, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be Justin Reed, Chris Huckaba, Kenneth Baskins, Jake Huckaba, Jeffery Chism, and Cody Baskins.  Honorary pallbearers will be Rickey Reed and Daniel Baskins.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
