Frederick Leroy Wright, Jr.

Frederick Leroy Wright, Jr., 75, of Oxford, Arkansas was born on January 3, 1942, in Charleston South Carolina, son of Frederick Leroy Wright, Sr. and Arlene (Moseley) Wright. He departed this life on August 2, 2017 in Oxford, Arkansas.   He was united in marriage to Sharoan Richardson on September 19, 1964 at Norfolk, Virginia and to this union two sons were born. He spent his working years as a lineman and manager with GTE for thirty-six years. Frederick served his country in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.             He is survived by two sons; Michael Wright and wife Linette of Oxford, Arkansas and James Henry Wright and wife Michelle of Brooksville, Florida; granddaughter, Jordan Michelle Wright of San Antonio, Texas; sisters-in-law, Sandy Richardson of Castle Rock, Colorado and Sandy Boatwright of Williamsburg, Virginia; nieces and nephew; Jene Richardson, Lee Richardson and Christy Richardson all of Castle Rock, Colorado; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife (Sharoan Wright), parents and brothers (Randy and Michael Boatwright).   Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Wideman Cemetery in Wideman, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Vest officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
