Gary Phyllis Polston, 79, of Agnos, Arkansas passed from this life on Monday, June 27, 2022, in Agnos, Arkansas. Gary was born February 27, 1943, to Phyllis Polston and Minnie Lee (Davis) Polston in Batesville, Arkansas.
Gary was united in marriage to Doris Ruth Clark on July 28, 1966, in Williford, Arkansas. Gary worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for over thirty years and as a patrolman and fireman at Cherokee Village, Arkansas for fifteen years. Gary served his country in the Unites States Army. He had a strong work ethic and was known for his dedication and dependability. He had a sense of humor and loved movies, music, gardening, and flowers. He was a huge Cubs fan and especially enjoyed when they won the World Series in 2016. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
Gary leaves to mourn his passing son, Jeff Polston (Lisa) of Ash Flat, Arkansas; daughter, Jennifer Wood (David) of Suffolk, Virginia; granddaughter, Ella Polston of Ash Flat, Arkansas; two brothers, Mike Polston (Debbie) of Cabot, Arkansas and Norman Polston of Hardy, Arkansas; sister, Judy Polston of South Bend, Indiana; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and sister-in-law (Brenda Polston).
The family will have private services at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC, in Salem, Arkansas.
