Granville Gordon Todd

Granville Gordon Todd, 94, of Wiseman, Arkansas departed this life on Monday, April 11, 2022, in Salem, Arkansas. Granville was born February 22, 1928, to Gordon Ida Todd and Nora Lettie (Dover) Todd in Saddle, Arkansas. 

Granville was united in marriage to Jo Ella Bookout on June 6, 1952, in Melbourne, Arkansas. Granville spent his working years as a farmer and was a member of the Wiseman Methodist Church in Wiseman, Arkansas. Granville served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He loved hunting and fishing and enjoyed working on his farm and cutting wood. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. A special thank you to the staff at Southfork River Therapy and Living Center. 

Granville leaves to mourn his passing, two daughters, Vicki Stripling and husband Dr. Rick of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Tammy Worden and husband Bill of Higden, Arkansas; special friend, Earlene Zeigler of Glencoe, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Dr. Ashley Buchman of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Todd Stripling and wife Leslie of Greenbrier, Arkansas, and Grant Worden of Conway, Arkansas; two great grandchildren, Addison Buchman and Ella Rose Stripling; brother, Willard Todd and wife Barbara of Tina, Missouri ; sister, Rosella Booth and husband Jimmy of Melbourne, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Jo Ella Todd), parents (Gordon and Nora Todd), and sister (Ollie Todd). 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Mike Yates and Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on April 14, 2022, at the Salem Church of Christ in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be Thursday, April 14, 2022, in the Wiseman Cemetery in Wiseman, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Todd Stripling, Dennis Bookout, Grant Worden, James Tanner, Donnie Bookout, and Randy Zeigler. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Todd and Charles Booth. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC of Salem, Arkansas.
