Hazel Tucker, 84, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on June 14, 1941, in Heart, Arkansas, to Everett H. Evans and Grace (Stroud) Evans.
Hazel was united in marriage to John Everett Tucker on October 17, 1959, in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and to this union one daughter, Vickie, was born. Hazel was a devoted homemaker and a hardworking dairy farmer who took great pride in caring for her home, land, and family. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren at their ball games.
She was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Salem Greyhounds, rodeos, and NASCAR. Hazel also enjoyed birdwatching and treasured the simple joys of country life. She was a faithful member of the Heart General Baptist Church in Heart, Arkansas.
Hazel is survived by her daughter, Vickie Bishop (Wayne) of Salem, Arkansas; two grandchildren, C.J. Bishop (Lucinda) of Salem, Arkansas and Tesa Nelson (Robert) of Salem, Arkansas; and three great-grandchildren, Whitt Bishop, Bryce Bishop, and Reece Nelson. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Hutson of Salem, Arkansas, as well as many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Everett and Grace Evans; stepmother, Ruby Evans and her brother-in-law, Jim Hutson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Tyler Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Bishop, Bryce Bishop, C.J. Bishop, Tesa Nelson, Whitt Bishop, and Robert Nelson. Honorary pallbearers are Reece Nelson, Lucinda Bishop, dear friend Carolyn Hodges, and Jim Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
Hazel was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
