Herbert Cecil Murray

Herbert Cecil Murray, age 92 , of Salem, Arkansas was born on May 3, 1925 in Bexar, Arkansas, son of Murray S. and Elsie (Dewitt) Murray. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.   Herbert married Ima Inez Webb on May 26, 1947 in Oxford, Arkansas and to this union seven sons were born. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He spent his working years as a carpenter, farmer and worked at a sawmill. He was of the Church of Christ faith.   He is survived by four sons; Dale Murray of Salem, Arkansas, Lendon Murray (Tammy) of Elizabeth, Arkansas, Robbie Murray (Kim) of Conway, Arkansas and Ron Murray (Judy) of Bryant, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; brother, Carl Gene Murray (Judy) of Flordia ; two sisters, Clara Mae Webb of Kennett, Missouri and Marie Bethel (Pete) of Flordia; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, three sons (Don, Cecil and Glenn) and parents.   Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Barker Funeral Home to help offset expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
