Iva Aldine Hobbs

Iva Aldine Hobbs, age 94, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She was born to the late Ivel Parks and Carrie (Cook) Parks on January 31, 1924 in Osage City, Kansas.

Iva graduated from Osage City High School in 1942. She married Gerald (Jerry) Hobbs and moved to California. Iva worked for Allstate Insurance Company in Pasadena, California before moving back to Kansas in 1971. She was a member of the Carbondale Baptist Church and a life time member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 11255 of Carbondale, Kansas. Iva Moved to Arkansas in 1993.

She leaves to mourn her passing; brother, Arlon Parks and wife Ruth of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; nephew, Larry Ridlen of Las Vegas, Nevada; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband (Gerald (Jerry) Hobbs), daughter (Nancy L. (Newton) Ward), son (David L. Newton), parents, step father (Amos Ray) and two sisters (Doreene North and Carolyn Ridlen).
