Jackie Wade Southard of Glencoe, Arkansas, passed from this life into his heavenly home on July 22, 2021 at the age of 70. He was born on December 3, 1950, in Salem, Arkansas, son of Hobart and Cleta Southard
Jackie was kind, caring, and his heart was full of love. He liked to laugh and joke and tell jokes and he will be greatly missed. Jackie was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, friend, and dog-dad to Beau, who preceded him in death by just a couple of weeks. He was a cross-country trucker for 35 years until his health prevented him from continuing. Jackie loved NASCAR and was Mark Martin’s biggest fan.
Jackie was predeceased by both parents, his son, Jeffery Wade Southard, and grandparents John and Loma Southard of Glencoe and Earl and Evalee Gleghorn of West Plains, MO. He leaves his sister, Dara Gaye, (Thomas), and brother, Bobby (Cynthia), one nephew, Brent Southard (Katie), one niece, Jamie Beth Stroud, and four great-nieces, Kennedy, Dru, Sadie, and Sydni, and his Uncle and best friend, J. L. Gleghorn.
He was of the Church of Christ faith and had recently rededicated his life to Christ.
Services will be held graveside at the Agnos Cemetery in Agnos, Arkansas July 25th at 2:00 P.M..
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Agnos Cemetery Association in his memory. Donations can be sent to Agnos Cemetery Association, 4250 Autumwood Road, Ash Flat, AR 72513.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
