James Lee Stanfield

James Lee Stanfield, 82, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on September 13, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. James was born to the late George Frank Stanfield and Margaret Veta (Tarr) Stanfield on January 15, 1937 in Tyler, Texas.

James was united in marriage to Joan Marshall on July 16, 1955 in Grand Prairie, Texas. James spent his working years as an engineer and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

James leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Joan Stanfield of Salem, Arkansas; son, John Paul Stanfield and wife Bernadette of Waterville, Washington; two daughters, Mary Margaret Baker of Portland, Oregon and Juliana Ochs of Spokane, Washington; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Alice Ernst of Grand Prairie, Texas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother (Charles Frank Stanfield).

No services are scheduled at this time. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
