Janie Ann (Smith) Parker

Janie Ann (Smith) Parker, 63, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas was born November 13, 1953 to the late Dearl Dee and Mary Jane (Waldon) Smith in Delano, California. She departed this life on April 8, 2017 in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.  Janie spent her working years as a LPN and was a member of the Violet Hill Assembly of God Church in Violet Hill, Arkansas. She was a loving mother, Geema, great grandmother, sister and friend.   Janie is survived by 3 daughters, Shawn Collins (Wendell) of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Rebbecca Reeves of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas and Amy Gilbreath (Brian) of Salem, Arkansas; son, Jarrod Parker of Mena, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Peggy St. Clair (Lance) of Gepp, Arkansas and Terry Stephens of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; 3 brothers, David Smith, Brian Smith (B.J.) of Oxford, Arkansas and Darren Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana; 3 granddaughters; 4 grandsons; 2 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson (William Collins).   Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Violet Hill Assembly of God Church in Violet Hill, Arkansas with Bro. Leon Morehead officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of the service Tuesday, April 11, 2017. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Brian Gilbreath, Nathan Gilbreath, Zachary Gilbreath, Jason St. Clair, Robert Stephens and Shawn Strong. Honorary Pallbearers are Kyle Gilbreath and Waylon Collins. Memorials may be made to Violet Hill Assembly of God Church in Violet Hill, Arkansas. Arrangements are entrusted to Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
