Jason Wayne Helton

Jason Wayne Helton, 55, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this life on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in Salem, Arkansas. Jason was born March 5, 1970, in Syracuse, Kansas to James “Jim” Wayne Helton and Barbara Louise (Todd) Helton.

Jason worked in southwest Kansas for Syracuse Co-op and Sublette Co-op changing tires and selling tires. Jason served his country in the United States Navy during Desert Storm. Jason loved our country and was very proud to be an American. Jason loved his family, especially his kids (Rebecca Helton, Christopher Helton, and Bryce Helton) and grandchildren. Jason loved yard sales, diet coke, unsweet tea, country music, mechanics, and cooking. Jason loved visiting, helping others, and getting to know people (he never met a stranger). He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and was of the Christian faith.

Jason leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Christopher Helton of Clovis, New Mexico and Bryce Helton of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Rebecca Helton of Salem, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Conner Martinez, Johnathan Knighten, Thomas Knighten, and Keely Robertson; parents, James and Barbara Helton; three brothers, Justin Helton and wife Me-Chell of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, James Helton and wife Amber of Wamego, Kansas, and Jody Helton and wife Carol of Inman, Kansas; two sisters, Dami Thomeczek and husband Joe of Syracuse, Kansas and Crystal Helton-Loder and husband Brian of Syracuse, Kansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents (Howard and Ellen Helton).

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Jackie Pickett and Jeremiah Sanders officiating.
