Jerry "Toby" Carl Hall

Jerry Carl “Toby” Hall, 71, of Salem, Arkansas departed this life on February 13, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. He was born to the late Charles Luther Hall and Ethel (Stroud) Hall on October 1, 1947 in Heart, Arkansas.                  

Toby was united in marriage to Donna Maye Coggins on December 11, 1968 in Heart, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Toby owned Hall’s Sinclair Station and then Hall’s Exxon Station for eighteen years. He then opened and ran Toby Hall’s Auto Sales since 1999. Toby served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Heart General Baptist Church. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and Pa to his granddaughters.

Toby leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Donna Hall of Salem, Arkansas; son, Curtis Hall and wife Brande of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Carla Blanton and husband Nick of Salem, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Kayly Hall of Salem, Arkansas and Kylie Hall of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Larry Hall and wife Ginger of Hardy, Arkansas; nephew, Jason Hall and wife Tracy of Hardy, Arkansas; special friends Michael, Darla, Patrick, Sydney and Jackson Gower; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Logan Welch officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday, February 15, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Burks Chapel Cemetery in Heart, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Josh Smith, Dustin Hall, Jake Smith, Patrick Gower, Derek Hall and Jackson Gower. Honorary pallbearers are Sonny Bray, Stanley Hall, Terry Dillard, Larry Humphries, Ronnie Todd, Ben Schaufler, Terry Langston, Jim Clayton, Link Humphries, James Kerley, Mike Dover, Russell Tanner, Bruce Hall, Billy Don Herron, Bill Hall and Ronnie Romine. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
