Jimmy Newell Brown, 84, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Salem, passed away from this life on Thursday, April 11, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Jimmy was born to Rufus Willie Brown and Reba Faye (Reed) Brown on November 1, 1939, in Choctaw, Oklahoma.  
 
Jimmy was united in marriage to Marcia Kay Moye on June 6, 1959, in Corcoran, California and to this union two sons were born. Jimmy spent his working years as a farmer, heavy equipment operator, and Baptist minister. Jimmy loved spending time with his family, hunting, and reading the Bible. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, friend, and was a member of the Lanton Baptist Church in Lanton, Missouri. 

 

Jimmy leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Jerry Brown and wife Starla of Salem, Arkansas and Kevin Brown and wife Amanda of Sacramento, California; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Tom Brown and wife June of Salem, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife (Marcia Brown), parents (Rufus and Reba Brown), great grandson (Zander Laxton), and brother (Charles Brown). 

 

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Memorials may be made to Lanton Baptist Church in Lanton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
