Jimmy Don McBride

Jimmy Don McBride, 52, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas. Jimmy was born to Donald Wayne McBride and Katheryn Sue (Smith) McBride on August 29, 1967 in Salem, Arkansas.  

Jimmy spent many years as a truck driver and worked for Ozark Waste Disposal in Salem, Arkansas.  Jimmy also worked for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office as a jailer/dispatcher and served many years on the Salem Fire Department as an Instructor 1 Officer, CTO, and an EMR.  Jimmy was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend, and was of the Assembly of God faith.

Jimmy is survived by his father, Don McBride of Salem, Arkansas; sister, Tammy Tyler and husband Wayne of Salem, Arkansas; nephew, Dustin Broughton of Salem, Arkansas; niece, Debbie Parson and husband Terry of Salem, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Katheryn Sue McBride.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Josh Smithee officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be Friday, August 28, 2020 in the Flora Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Brian McBride, Layton York, Wayne Tyler, Russell McBride, Dustin Broughton, and Gene McBride. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Smithee, Paul Foster, Joey Elliott, and Albert Roork. Memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. 

Please be mindful of our social distancing guidelines. We will have hand sanitizing stations set up at all entrances and exits and with the register book. Signs will be posted as well.
