Jimmy Allen Maclin Sr. age 73, of Viola, Arkansas, passed away on June 25, 2026, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born on March 2, 1953, in Dyess, Arkansas, to Ollie Perry Maclin and Linnie Merea (Wilkins) Maclin.

Jimmy spent his working years as a truck driver, a career that reflected his hardworking nature and dedication to providing for his family. He was a man who believed in putting in an honest day's work and took pride in everything he did. He was of the Southern Baptist faith, and his love for God and family remained at the center of his life.

On March 10, 1986, Jimmy married Tina Mackey in Viola, Arkansas. Together they shared many years of life, raising a large family and creating countless memories with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Jimmy never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with just about anyone. He was as bullheaded and stubborn as they come, and if he made up his mind about something, there wasn't much chance of changing it—but that was just part of what made him Jimmy. He loved spending time outdoors and could usually be found hunting, fishing, or camping whenever he had the opportunity. He had a special place in his heart for animals and enjoyed riding his Harley with the wind in his face. Above all else, Jimmy loved his family. Whether it was gathering around for the holidays, telling stories, picking at those he loved, or simply enjoying each other's company, those moments meant the most to him. His larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and ornery sense of humor will be remembered fondly by everyone who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tina Maclin of Viola, Arkansas; five sons, Jimmy Maclin, Jr. (Nicole) of Clarksville, Tennessee, Cletus Maclin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Christopher Mackey of Viola, Arkansas, William Maclin (Jeanette) of Glencoe, Arkansas, and Gerald Maclin of Agnos, Arkansas; three daughters, Kimberly Maclin of Flint, Michigan, Christin Maclin of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, and Helen Mitchell of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; two brothers, Robert Maclin (Connie) of Evening Shade, Arkansas, and Perry Maclin (LaFaye) of Flint, Michigan; six sisters, Dorothy Maclin of Flint, Michigan, Dedee Edwards (Steve) of Birch Run, Michigan, Anna Maclin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Mary Maclin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tina Green (Jamie) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Shannon Maclin of Dexter, Missouri; twenty-eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Perry and Linnie Merea Maclin; his daughter, Venus Marie Dushuanack; his granddaughter, Gracelynn Anstine; four brothers; and four sisters.
