Jimmy Paul Shipp, 68, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas departed this life on Thursday, December 20, 2018 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. He was born to the late Robert Shipp and Pauline (Huddleston) Shipp on May 14, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jimmy spent his working years as a truck driver. Jimmy was a jokester and loved to make people laugh. He loved country music and Elvis was his idol. Jimmy also loved cooking, boxing and football (Kansas City Chiefs and Arkansas Razorbacks). He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Jimmy leaves to mourn his passing ; three sons, Aaron Shipp and wife Caitlin of Concord, Arkansas, Justin Shipp of Thayer, Missouri and Blake Shipp of West Plains, Missouri; two daughters, Amy Shipp of North Little Rock, Arkansas and Josie Johnson and husband John of Maynard, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Sandy Kincaid and husband Gary of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Cathy Shipp of Jonesboro, Arkansas ; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his son (Paul Shipp), parents and grandson.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
