Joe Taylor Roberson

Joe Taylor Roberson, 81, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas departed this life on Friday, December 21, 2018 in Salem, Arkansas. He was born to the late Henry Clay Roberson and Verna Mae (Stotts) Roberson on July 5, 1937 in Lepanto, Arkansas.

Joe was united in marriage to Imogene Diane Gammill on June 23, 1960 in Lepanto, Arkansas and to this union four children were born. Joe had a forty year career in law enforcement and retired as a Corporal with the Arkansas State Police. Joe served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Arkansas State Police Association and was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Joe leaves to mourn his passing ; three sons, Mark W. Roberson of West Plains, Missouri, Tim Roberson and wife Christina of West Plains, Missouri and Eric Roberson of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; daughter, Segrid Collins of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two grandsons; Brandon Roberson and wife Jordan and Ryan Roberson; great granddaughter, Lennon Roberson; two brothers, Chester Roberson of Tyler, Texas and James Roberson of Lepanto, Arkansas; three sisters, Nina Wallace and husband Travis of Yorba Linda, California, Patricia Strayhorn and husband Darrell of Searcy, Arkansas and Glenda Allred and husband Edward of Osceola, Arkansas ; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and two brothers (Charles and Arnold Roberson).

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Arkansas with Bro. Dale Blackwell officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
