Joseph Andrew Barber

Joseph Andrew Barber, 55, of Supply, Arkansas passed away from this life on Monday, February 13, 2023, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Joseph was born June 15, 1967, to Author Lee Barber and Emma Jane (Gibson) Barber in North Kansas City, Missouri. 

Joseph worked as a superintendent for several years on fiber optic all over the United States. Joseph loved his family, being outside, and farming. He enjoyed coon hunting and was a member of various coon hunting clubs. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, friend, and was a born-again Christian of the Baptist faith. 

Joseph  leaves to mourn his passing; son, Joseph Andrew Barber, II of Sikeston, Missouri; three daughters, Samantha Marie Broughton (Austin) of Sikeston, Missouri, Elizabeth Paige Barber of Sikeston, Missouri, and Emma Haggins (T.J.) of Newport, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Falynn Shea Broughton, Truett Royal Haggins, and Stratton Andrew Haggins; mother, Jane Barber of Wiseman, Arkansas; two brothers, Jon Barber (Jennifer) of Cabot, Arkansas and James Barber (Ginger) of Sheridan, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. David Hardin officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be Saturday, February 18, 2023, in the Wiseman Cemetery in Wiseman, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Allen Shawl, Chris Griffin, David Love, Philip Flurry, Rowdy Patton, Marty Shenberger, Jeff Nelson, and Boone Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Haymes, Gary Pratt, Quaid Barber, Jay Barber, Dakota Kimble, Brody Barber, and Dylan Barber. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
