Joseph Alexander Jones, 76, of Oxford, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 14, 1949, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Clarence Lester Jones and Velma E. (Gillihan) Jones.

Joseph spent his working years as a plumber’s helper, a job he approached with dedication and a willingness to lend a hand wherever needed. Determined to better himself, he attended night school and graduated as valedictorian, earning his diploma through hard work and perseverance.

He was known for his unique interests and quiet passions. Joseph enjoyed collecting stamps and what he affectionately called “junk,” finding value and history in things others might overlook. He also loved photography, especially capturing images of old barns and rural scenes that reflected the beauty and character of the countryside. A man of faith, Joseph was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his brother, Leon Jones (Nancy) of Oxford, Arkansas, along with many other relatives and friends who will remember him fondly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Lester Jones and Velma E. Jones.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
