Joyce Yvonne Balderston

Joyce Yvonne Balderston, 76, of Ash Flat, Arkansas departed this life in Batesville, Arkansas on Friday, February 16, 2018. She was born to the late Isaac Hoovatter and Violet (Hinzman) Hovatter on July 1, 1941 in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Joyce spent her working years as a homemaker and was of the Christian faith. She loved the farm, gardening, animals and painting. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She leaves to mourn her passing; husband, Allen Balderston of Ash Flat, Arkansas; five sons, Phillip Cooper and wife Shelly of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Tim Cooper of Hardy, Arkansas, Mike Balderston of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Joseph Balderston of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Matthew Balderston and wife Rebecca of Ash Flat, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Sonny Chaffin and wife Susan of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas; three sisters, Sue Walker of Phoenix, Arizona, Kay Ross and husband Gary of Phoenix, Arizona and Rebecca Sawyer of Phoenix, Arizona; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son (Roland Cooper) and granddaughter (Casey Cooper).

The family will have a private service at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
