Karen Anne (Weathers) Plumlee

Karen Anne (Weathers) Plumlee, 78, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, October 1, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Karen was born April 15, 1943, to Max Olen Weathers and Evelyn Pauline (Love) Weathers in Salem, Arkansas.

Karen was united in marriage to Carl Dwayne Plumlee on March 16, 1968, in Salem, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics. While in college, Karen was a member of the Arkansas Razorbacks Marching Band and the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She worked as an Abstractor/Title Insurance Agent for Fulton Title Company, working alongside her husband for forty-four years.  She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church, Salem Methodist Women, Fulton County Democratic Committee, and the Twenty First Century Investments.  She was a past member of the Fulton County Library Board and the Salem Cemetery Board. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Karen leaves to mourn her passing, husband, C. Dwayne Plumlee of Salem, Arkansas; son, Chris Plumlee and wife Cheryl of Bentonville, Arkansas; daughter, Julie Marsh and husband Bill of Salem, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Callie Marsh, Jackson Plumlee, Nicholas Plumlee, and Ella Plumlee; two sisters, Konnie Collett and husband Duane of St. Peters, Missouri and Yvonne Webber and husband Mike of Salem, Arkansas; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, niece (Wendi Webber Robbins), and nephews (David Webber and Buddy Troppmann).

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Salem United Methodist Church in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Ken Anderson officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Salem United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Link Humphries, Scott Plumlee, Bryan Plumlee, Kevin Weathers, Gary Phillips, and Ted Kerley. Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery Association, or the Salem United Methodist Church Feed Our Children (Backpack Program). Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
