Kenneth Darrell Guffey

Kenneth Darrell Guffey, age 75, of Gepp, Arkansas was born on May 29, 1942 in Gepp, Arkansas, son of D. L. and Ida Lena (Morris) Guffey. He departed this life on November 27, 2017 in Salem, Arkansas.                     Kenneth married Leta Gay Smith on December 21, 2001 in West Plains, Missouri. He spent his working years as a cattleman, loved going to cattle auctions and bought and sold cattle in Memphis for thirty plus years. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of County Line Baptist Church.   He leaves to mourn his passing; wife, Leta Guffey of Gepp, Arkansas; son, Kevin Guffey and wife Christy of Gepp, Arkansas; two step sons, Harold Cox and wife Amanda of Viola, Arkansas and Donnie Cox and wife Amanda of Maynard, Arkansas; daughter, Deana Caststeel and husband Chris of Cotter, Arkansas; step daughter, Robin Haile and husband Vince of Elizabeth, Arkansas; twelve grandchildren, Kacey, Brittany, Baylee, Samantha, Brayden, Andrew, Kaylynn, Kennedy, Karson, Alivia, Kimberlee and Nathan; two great grandchildren, Camryn and Brayden; brother, Jurel Guffey of Sherwood, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother (Denny Devoe Guffey).             Funeral Service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at County Line Baptist Church in Gepp, Arkansas with Bro. Cranford Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Cecil Morris, B.J. Guffey, Donnie Cox, Stacey Guffey, Mickey Guffey and Justin Simpson. Honorary pallbearers are Roe Guffey, Junior Guffey, J.W. Guffey, Clinton Guffey, Lynn Guffey and Rollin Kinder. Interment will be in the County Line Cemetery in Gepp, Arkansas. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
