Laverne Airrington, 83, of Gepp, Arkansas, passed away on January 29, 2026, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. She was born on January 26, 1943, in Madisonville, Texas, to Clarence C. Rogers and Minnie Pearl (Ferguson) Rogers.

Laverne married the love of her life, L.J. “Joe” Airrington, on March 3, 1968, in Houston, Texas. Together they built a life filled with love, devotion, and shared memories.

During her working years, Laverne was employed in banking as a keypunch operator for the Bank of Pasadena. Over the years, she also worked as a waitress and devoted much of her life to being a homemaker, caring for her family with patience and grace. She was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church, where she found comfort in her faith and fellowship.

Laverne cherished time with her family above all else. She enjoyed reading, playing games on her iPad, and treating herself to her favorite lemon berry slush from Sonic. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and loving heart will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Rogers (Kathy) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; James Rogers (Jodi) of Gepp, Arkansas; Roy Rogers (Sandi) of Gepp, Arkansas; and Dennis Rogers (Leslie) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; along with many other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Airrington, and her parents, C.C. and Minnie Rogers.

The family will hold services at a later date at Enterprise Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Pickren Hall Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home.
