L.D. Taylor

L.D. Taylor, 85, of Viola, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Salem, Arkansas. He was born to the late Oscar Pleasant Taylor and Daisy (Moore) Taylor on March 26, 1933 in Mayflower, Arkansas.                  

L.D. spent his working years as a butcher, a farmer and was of the Pentecostal faith. L.D. loved fishing, hunting, gardening and gambling. He was a loving son, brother, father, companion, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather and friend.

L.D. leaves to mourn his passing; companion of thirty four years, Sherry Brackney of Viola, Arkansas; son, Larry Taylor and Danny Garcia of Guerneville, California; two daughters, Jewel Taylor Miller and husband John of Forestville, California and Margie Taylor of Viola, Arkansas; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four brothers, JR. Taylor, Ed Taylor, Thomas Taylor and Carol Wayne Taylor; two sisters, Mary Lois Taylor and Mary Evelyn Hermosa; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers (Curly, William, Jim and Leroy Taylor).

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 18, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, March 18, 2019 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Danny Perryman, Steve Perryman, Stacy Perryman Alex Villanueva, Oscar Villanueva and Buster Crouthers. Honorary pallbearers are Andy McCandlis, Neal McCandlis and Kevin McCandlis. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
