Linda Juanita Ball

Linda Juanita Ball, 70, of Wideman, Arkansas passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023, in Wideman, Arkansas. Linda was born June 2, 1952, in Vero Beach, Florida to Homer Alfred Grice and Violet Eveleen (Yates) Grice.

Linda was united in marriage to Darrell Wayne Ball on October 1, 1971, in Oxford, Arkansas. Linda spent her working years as a lumber grader with Color Tile and Century Flooring and as a cafeteria worker at Izard County Consolidated School System. Linda loved spending time with her family, trail riding and camping, dancing, fishing, hunting, and working in her garden and flowers. Linda was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, and was a member of the Oxford Baptist Church.

Linda leaves to mourn her passing; husband, Darrell Ball of Wideman, Arkansas; two daughters, Rebecca Rider (Mike) and their daughters (Laney and Maddi) of Newark, Arkansas and Allison Ball of Wideman, Arkansas; brother, Alfred Grice (Jill) of Oxford, Arkansas; three sisters, Sheila Coggins (Jack) of Oxford, Arkansas, Melanie Taylor (Scotty) of Oxford, Arkansas, and Judy Tillman of Demopolis, Alabama; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her son (Willie Ball), parents, two brothers (Ray Morrison and Richard Luke), and two sisters (Cynthia Howell and Gloria Owens).

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, May 1, 2023, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Bill Goodwin officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Arkansas. The pallbearers will be Jason Howell, Justin Howell, Rex Ogle, Doc Warden, Jeremy Johnson, and Robert Skaggs. Memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, Arkansas Childrens Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, or Oxford Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
