Lloyd Lacy Broughton

Lloyd Lacy Broughton, age 64, of Ash Flat, Arkansas was born on August 29, 1953 in Brinkley, Arkansas, son of Joseph Edgar and Margaret Joy (Lacy) Broughton. He departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2017 in Little Rock, Arkansas.   Lloyd married Maria Vinsta McIntyre on September 7, 1974 in Dunoon, Scotland and to this union two children were born. Lloyd served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, the Gulf War and Desert Storm. He was a volunteer at Black River Police Academy and was a loving son, brother, husband and father.   Lloyd is survived by his wife; Maria Broughton of Ash Flat, Arkansas; son, Lloyd Michael Broughton and wife Denise of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughter, Maria Anne Broughton of Ash Flat, Arkansas; brother, Rick Broughton and wife Elizabeth of Bethesda, Arkansas; two sisters, Kay Jackson and husband Larry of Ash Flat, Arkansas and Bonnie Broughton of Glencoe, Arkansas; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.   Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
