Lois Loretta Mitchell

Lois Loretta Mitchell, 84, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, August 12, 2021 in Viola, Arkansas.  Loretta was born August 21, 1936 to Loy Thomas Jackson and Willard Ilene (Traywick) Jackson in Paragould, Arkansas.

 

Loretta was united in marriage to "Bill" Nathan William Mitchell in 1986 at Salem, Arkansas.  Loretta spent her working years as a geriatric nurse and loved being a nurse and taking care of people.  Loretta loved working in the yard, gardening, her flowers, and cooking for everybody.  Loretta was a member of the Womens Auxiliary of VFW Post #9777 in Salem, Arkansas and attended the Viola First Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas.  Loretta was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

 

Loretta leaves to mourn her passing, four daughters, Sandy McGlothlin (James "Toby") of Viola, Arkansas, Dusty Roberts (Jimmie "Hambone") of Viola, Arkansas, Frankie Horne (Jeff Elledge) of Viola, Arkansas, and Melissa Peacock (Charles) of Salem, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Candi Trinidad (Steven), April McGlothlin (Adam), Craig Scaggs, and Ashley Scaggs; three great grandchildren, Ruby Trinidad, Scarlett Trinidad, and Rosa Trinidad; many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son (Floyd Thomas Rhama), and three sisters (Barbara Rhama, Lynn Lowe, and an infant sister).

 

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating.  Interment will be in the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas.  Memorials may be made to Salem VFW Post #9777 in Salem, Arkansas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
