Loretta "Katy" Kay (Rorie) Gower

Loretta Kay “Katy” (Rorie) Gower, 76, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, October 14, 2021, in Salem, Arkansas. Katy was born August 12, 1945, to Ulis Guy Rorie and Clara Anne (Stewart) Rorie in Big Flat, Arkansas.

Katy worked as a Dispatcher for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for ten plus years and as a Seamstress for many years.  Katy was a member of the Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas.  Katy was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Katy leaves to mourn her passing, son, Michael Gower and wife Darla of Tontitown, Arkansas; daughter, Annette Henley of Salem, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Patrick Gower and wife Shelbi, Savannah Lewis and husband Tyler, Sydney Gower, Harrison Henley, Jackson Gower, and Cameron Henley; two great grandchildren, Rozen and Tilden Lewis; many other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law (Paul Henley), three sisters (Gussie, Mary Dee, and Lucille), and one brother (Boobles).

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 17, 2021, at the Big Flat Cemetery in Big Flat, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating. Interment will be in the Big Flat Cemetery in Big Flat, Arkansas.  Pallbearers are Patrick Gower, Harrison Henley, Jackson Gower, Tyler Lewis, Joe Gilbert, and Brent Gilbert.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salem First Baptist Church for single mothers.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
