Marie Teresa Baumiller

Marie T. Baumiller, 76, formerly of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2018 at home with family.

Marie was born on April 4, 1942, in Newark, New Jersey, to the late William and Muriel (Fields) Grimm. Her father’s family moved to the United States from Germany after WWI.

Marie was of the Catholic faith.  She was a graduate of Benedictine Academy in Elizabeth, New Jersey, later earned a nursing degree, and was employed as an LPN at Hackettstown Community Hospital prior to her retirement. 

Marie moved to her daughter’s home after the recent death of her husband Paul Baumiller Sr. Marie and Paul loved boating on the many lakes near their home and spending quiet time together. She was very proud of her four daughters, her many grandchildren, her stepchildren and their families.  She will be missed by so many that had the opportunity to know and love her.  

Marie is survived by daughters Colleen Cashill, Karen Lee, Patricia Takeuchi, and Kristen Good as well as their spouses, her three stepchildren and spouses, 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Marie’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie’s name to the Independence, New Jersey, Fire Department in honor of her beloved husband, two time former fire chief, and the Fisher House Foundation in honor of the many active military and veterans in our family that have proudly served their nation.
