Marjorie J. Paik

Marjorie J. Paik, 100, of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. She was born to the late William George Johnson and Pearl Wade (Ent) Johnson on January 22, 1918 in Hamilton, Ohio.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Joseph Charles Paik on April 5, 1940 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and to this union three children were born. Marjorie spent her working years as a teacher and an artist. Marjorie was just shy of receiving her Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin. She was a member of DAR, Artist organizations, the Garden Club and was of the Bahá́ i Faith. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

She leaves to mourn her passing; two sons, Douglas Paik and wife Haydee of Boca Raton, Florida and Michael Paik and wife Carolyn of Delafield, Wisconsin; daughter, Kathleen Ramstack and husband Thomas of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Christopher Olsen of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Carl Olsen of Franklin, Arkansas, Jennifer Paik–Alonso of Lighthouse Point, Florida, David Paik of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and Michelle Black of Waukesha, Wisconsin; six great grandchildren, Jasper Malina Olsen of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Eliana Paik of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Eva Alonso of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Adrian Alonso of Lighthouse Point, Florida, Mateo Black of Waukesha, Wisconsin and Sierra Black of Waukesha, Wisconsin; many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband (Joseph Charles Paik) and parents (William and Pearl Johnson).

Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to UNICEF. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
