Mary Esther Dawson

Mary Esther (Turner) Dawson, 64, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Mary was born March 14, 1956 to James Orville Turner and Opal (Flynn) Turner in Thayer, Missouri.

Mary was united into marriage to David Charles Dawson on October 29, 1976 in West Plains, Missouri. Mary spent  her working years as a beautician and was of the Assembly of God faith. Mary loved playing the piano, cooking, and canning. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. 

Mary leaves to mourn her passing, husband, David Dawson of Viola, Arkansas; son, Bobby Dawson and wife Stephanie of Viola, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brooke Brazzell and husband Kasey of Lonoke, Arkansas; Bailey Jo Dawson of Carlisle, Arkansas; Harley Dawson of Viola, Arkansas; Sawyer Dale Dawson of Viola, Arkansas, and Blake Cartwright and wife Rachel of Sherwood, Arkansas; three brothers, Jerry Turner of Koshkonong, Missouri, Wilburn Turner of Koshkonong, Missouri, and David Turner of Koshkonong, Missouri; two sisters, Brenda Sparks of Gepp, Arkansas and Janice Johnson and husband Dean of West Plains, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, nephew (Jeff Turner), and two sisters-in-law (Patricia Richmond and Deidre Turner).

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges and Bro. Charles Barnett officiating. Pallbearers are Jesse Turner, Teddy Dillinger, Bo Sparks, Wayne Hutson, Kasey Brazzell, and Steve Hutson. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until time of service on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Viola Cemetery Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
