Mary Louise (Ferguson) Russell, 95, of Andover, Kansas, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in Andover, Kansas. Mary was born February 8, 1930, in Cordell, Oklahoma to Leslie Ferguson and Fay (Ward) Ferguson.

Mary was united in marriage to Kermit Gerald Russell on March 7, 1952, in Melbourne, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Mary worked for many years as a salesclerk with David’s and made lots of friends during her career there. Mary loved spending time with her family, gardening, garage sales, and reading. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend, and attended the Hope Community Church in Andover, Kansas.

Mary leaves to mourn her passing, son, Joe Russell and wife Suzie of Towanda, Kansas; daughter, Cheryl McCabe and husband Gregg of Wichita, Kansas; four grandchildren, Jake McCabe (Celeste), Kelsey McClasky (Matt), Jedd Russell, and Katie Hurst (Bella); three great grandchildren, Oliver McCabe, Allison McCabe, and Simon McCabe; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband (Kermit Russell) and parents.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Jedd Russell officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until time of service at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Hand Cemetery in Jordan, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Chris Jennings, Jedd Russell, Danny Acklin, Matt McClasky, Kelsey McClasky, Katie Hurst, Bella Hurst, Jake McCabe, and Celeste McCabe. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
