Mary Evalene “Ebb” Glisson, age 81, of Glencoe, Arkansas, passed away on January 29, 2026, at her home in Glencoe. She was born on December 18, 1944, in Colcord, Oklahoma, to Willis and Vada (Potter) Henslee.
On October 16, 1964, Ebb married the love of her life, Bob Glisson, in Salem, Arkansas. Together they shared many wonderful years and were blessed with two daughters. Ebb was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life centered around her family.
Ebb was a homemaker in her own home and took great pride in caring for those she loved. She truly enjoyed cooking and feeding people, running around with Bob, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Her faithful companion, her dog Little Bit, held a special place in her heart. Ebb was a longtime member of Salem First Baptist Church, where her faith guided her life.
She is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Burnett of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, and Kay Curtis (Micah) of Glencoe, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Andy Ward (Brittany) of Glencoe, Arkansas, Kayla Overman (Blaine) of Heart, Arkansas, Haley Skaggs (Dylan) of Salem, Arkansas, Sage Curtis of Glencoe, Arkansas, and Jonathan Burnett (Crystal) of Moody, Missouri; a special niece who was like a granddaughter, Ivy Gilbreath; eleven great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Jase, Shyanne, Landen, Kaiden, Olivia, Tinlee, Karsyn, Addison, Rylee, and Renley; sisters, Kathleen Jones (Doug) of Saddle, Arkansas, Phyllis Owens (Gordon) of Wideman, Arkansas, and Darlene Neiderbrach of Salem, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Judy Carwile of Ash Flat, Arkansas, Elsie Henslee of Wheeling, Arkansas, and Marianne Glisson of Dittmer, Missouri; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Glisson; granddaughter, Amber Honey; her parents, Willis and Vada Henslee; four brothers, Gene, Dennis, Dean, and Len Henslee; and five sisters, Cecil Henslee, Angie Allard, Lorine Elliott, Marly Fish, and Pauline Lawyer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 2, 2026, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Mason Miller officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral service at Fairview Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Andy Ward, Jonathan Burnett, Chris Jones, Adam Henslee, Lennie Henslee, and Micah Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be Tuffy Smith, Logan Delargy, Wendell Collins, Gordon Owens, Mason Miller, Doug Jones, and her grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
