Michael LeRoy Hays, 77, of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed away on June 17, 2026, in Cherokee Village, Arkansas.
He was born on December 8, 1948, in Glendale, California, to Cyrus Max Hays and Marion Elizabeth (Richards) Hays, who preceded him in death.
Michael married the love of his life, Deborah Ann Casaus, in Santa Clarita, California on August 16, 1980. Together, they built a life grounded in love, faith, and shared interests.
Michael served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a skilled heavy equipment operator and a man of many talents and hobbies. He had a deep appreciation for antiques and enjoyed collecting unique pieces. He was an excellent cook who also took pride in brewing his own beer and canning his own food. Michael loved spending time outdoors—gardening, exploring the woods, and metal detecting brought him great joy.
He was a devoted supporter of the United States military and held strong conservative values. Michael was a member of Cherokee Village Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah Hays of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
