Mildred "Mickey" Louise Painter

Mildred “Mickey” Louise Painter, age 86, of Viola, Arkansas was born on December 18, 1930 in Madison, Arkansas, daughter of Thomas Walter Sr. and Velma Ella (Jones) Cole. She departed this life on Friday, July 14, 2017 in Mountain Home, Arkansas at Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.   Mildred spent her working years as a secretary for Walker Insurance and Pleasant Oil. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and was a member of the Viola United Methodist Church.   Mildred is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Nichols of Gamaliel, Arkansas; two step daughters, Debbie Cotter (Ben) of Belton, Missouri and Pam Payne of Belton, Missouri; three step sons; Larry Painter (Marilyn) of Cleveland, Missouri, David Painter (Pam) of Kansas City, Missouri and Allen Painter (Angie) of Yellville, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren, Stanley, Monica, Dorian, Bridget, Casey, Micah, Marcus, Angela, Jeff, Julie, Abby, Justin, Carlie, Stetson and Colt; twenty eight great grandchildren, Seth, Samantha, Hannah, Maddie, Kendra, Sebastian, Patricia, Micah Jr., Mara, Meleah, AudreyAnn, Gracie, Charlize, Taylor, Alex, Riley, Chase, Wyatt, Callie Jane, Megan, Morgan, Sydnee, Tabitha, Preston, Duncan, Canon, Jordan and Jaycee; great great grandchild, Logan; brother Thomas Cole,Jr.; many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband (Jake W. Painter), son (Tommy Melton), parents (Tom and Velma Cole), sister (Margaret Pleasant) and brother (John Cole).   Funeral Services will be 11:00   A.M. Friday, July 21, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Arthur Barber officiating. Interment will be in the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service Friday, July 21, 2017 at Barker Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Allen Painter, Clint Pleasant, Roger Lucy, Chase Pleasant, Cliff Pleasant, Jr. and Stanley Leslie, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers are Seth Stanton, Clifford Pleasant and Tom Pleasant. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Viola United Methodist Church in Viola, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
