Minnie Pearl (Ferguson) Rogers

Minnie Pearl (Ferguson) Rogers, 98, of Gepp, Arkansas, peacefully departed this life on July 17, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Minnie was born to the late Edgar Dewitt Ferguson and Martha Ophelia (Shafer) Ferguson on July 6, 1924, in Conroe, Texas.

Minnie was united in marriage to Clarence C. Rogers on October 11, 1941, in Madisonville, Texas. Minnie was a homemaker and loved her family, reading, quilting, sewing, gardening, and was a supporter of the Boy Scouts of America.  Minnie was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, friend, and member of the Enterprise Baptist Church.

Minnie leaves to mourn her passing, daughter, LaVerne Airrington of Gepp, Arkansas; four sons, Kenneth (Kathy) Rogers of Mountain Home, Arkansas, James (Jodi) Rogers of Gepp, Arkansas, Roy Rogers of Minot, North Dakota, and Dennis (Leslie) Rogers of Mountain Home, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, Julie Rogers, Chris Rogers, Jamie (Alex) Poweska, Joshua Rogers, Rebecca (Nicholas) Roth, Nathaniel Rogers, Gabriel Rogers, Carolyn Rogers, Zack (Aimee) Parker and Isaac Rogers; eight great grandchildren, Tristan (Emily), Kaylee, Xander, Isabelle, Addison, Jaden, Brooklyn, and Riley; three great great grandchildren, Clark, Benjamin, and Alyza; sister-in-law, Nan Ferguson of Center, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband (C.C. Rogers), parents (Ed and Martha Ferguson), son-in-law (L.J. “Joe” Airrington), daughter-in-law (Dusti Rogers), six sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorene (Jake) Harris, Nettie (Sam) Kelley, Mildred (Oadis) McGough, Maxine (Elmo) Dawson, Nelda (Curly) Vaughn, and Francis (Paul) Carr, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Otis “Buck” (Mildred) Ferguson, William “Bill” (Topsy) Ferguson, and John Ed Ferguson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Enterprise Baptist Church in Viola, Arkansas with Bro. Robert Lash officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Enterprise Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Pickren Hall Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Gabriel Rogers, Butch Cotter, Bob Stone, Justin Luther, Keith Williams, and Dennis Williams.  Honorary pallbearers will be C. A. Wilson, Dick Roach, Harold Cotter, Johnie Roper, Scott Gerard, Larry Luther, Julie Rogers, Lee Lester, Phillip Cotter, and Nathaniel Rogers.  Memorials may be made to the Pickren Hall Cemetery Association at the Bank of Salem.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
