Monte Joe Dillon

Monte Joe Dillon, age 67, of Viola, Arkansas was born on November 7, 1949 in Bridgeport, Nebraska, son of Dwayne Russell and Mary Elizabeth (Hanway) Dillon. He departed this life on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in Viola, Arkansas.   Monte married June Ellice Taylor on February 2, 1969 in Liberal, Kansas and to this union two children were born. He spent his working years as a printer and was a member of the Twin Lakes Gun Club.   Monte is survived by his wife, June Dillon of Viola, Arkansas; two daughters, Jamie Ward and husband Russ of Bedford Township, Michigan and Jennifer Dillon of Ormond By the Sea, Florida; mother, Mary Dillon of Liberal, Kansas; brother, Dwight C. Dillon of Littleton, Colorado; four grandchildren, Logan, Allison, R.J. and Dillon; many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father (Dwayne Dillon).   Family will have private services at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Twin Lakes Gun Club, 283 CR 1046, Mountain Home, Arkansas 72653. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
