Nova Joyce Huett

Nova Joyce Huett, 87, of Elizabeth, Arkansas departed this life on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. She was born to the late Leffel James Smith and Stella Hill (Teverbaugh) Smith on February 8, 1931 in Henderson, Arkansas.

Joyce married George Elias Huett, Jr. on October 7, 1948 in Mountain Home, Arkansas and to this union two children were born. Joyce spent her working years as a homemaker and was a member of the Elizabeth Church of Christ. She loved reading, cooking and sharing the food that she cooked with others. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She leaves to mourn her passing; son, Phillip Huett and wife Diane of Gepp, Arkansas; daughter, Nancy Moody and husband Steve of Pocahontas, Arkansas; three granddaughters, Laura Shaddon and husband Jason of Gepp, Arkansas, Audra Adams and husband Jeremy of Paragould, Arkansas and Alexa Shipp and husband Zac of Conway, Arkansas; four great grandchildren, Addison Shaddon, Remington Shaddon, Karson Adams and Parker Adams; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister (Alice King).

Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Elizabeth Church of Christ in Elizabeth, Arkansas with Bro. Frank Plachy and Bro. Don Pfalser officiating. Interment will be in the Elizabeth Cemetery in Elizabeth, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 2, 2018 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Paul King, Lawrence Huett, Earl Huett, Joel Huett, Royce Huett and Mark Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Shaddon, Laura Shaddon, Zac Shipp, Alexa Shipp, Jeremy Adams and Audra Adams. Memorials may be made to the Paragould Children’s Home of Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home of Salem, Arkansas.
