Paul Allen Asher

January 20, 1962 — June 22, 2020

Paul Allen Asher, age 58, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away Monday, June
22, 2020.  Born Saturday, January 20, 1962, at the Frontier Nursing
Service in Hyden, Kentucky, he was the son of Christine Asher Howard and
the late Carlo B. Asher.  Paul lived in Hyden through his 2nd grade of
elementary school.  Paul graduated from Xavier University, where he
majored in English.  Paul and was a talented painter and enjoyed reading
and writing poetry.  Paul was of the Catholic faith and was an avid
outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping in his spare time. 
One of his outdoor adventures allotted him the opportunity to hike the
Appalachian Trail for three months.

Paul leaves behind his mother, Christine Asher Howard of Somerset,
Kentucky; two sisters, Dana Asher Tennill (David) of Hyden, and Rhonda
Asher Siegel (Timothy) of Centerville, Indiana; two nephews; and one
niece.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Carlo B. Asher; and two
brothers, Orville Asher and Robert Asher.

Cremation Rites were honored by Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.

A Private Memorial Graveside Service & Burial will be held Saturday,
July 18, 2020 at Double Springs Cemetery in Waynesburg, Kentucky.

Memorial Contributions suggested to The Salvation Army USA, 615 Slaters
Lane, Alexandria, VA 22313.
