Pauletta Christine Beaver, age 66, of Glencoe, Arkansas, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in Batesville, Arkansas. She was born on August 1, 1960, in Wise, Virginia, to Olsen Carl Hill and Oma Jean (Salyers) Hill.
Pauletta attended college for four years but ultimately chose to devote her life to what mattered most to her—her family. She was a homemaker who took pride in raising and caring for those she loved. Being a mother and grandmother was more than a role to Pauletta; it was her calling and one of the greatest joys of her life.
Pauletta had a heart unlike any other. She never cared much about money and would gladly give someone her very last dime if they needed it. She believed in showing up for the people she loved and would do anything for her family. Her love was generous, genuine, and unwavering, and she cared more about her family than anything in this world.
Some of Pauletta’s happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, cooking Sunday dinner or making breakfast for her family. She loved bringing everyone together around a meal and making sure those she loved were taken care of. She enjoyed listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd, watching football and NASCAR, and spending time with her family. She had a way of making any gathering more fun and was always the life of the party. Pauletta loved making people laugh and was always trying to put a smile on someone’s face.
Her faith was an important part of her life. Pauletta read her Bible every day and said a prayer for everyone. She carried her faith into the way she lived, loving others, helping whenever she could, and keeping her family close to her heart. She was never afraid to speak her mind, but those who knew her understood that behind her strong personality was a heart full of love.
Pauletta’s love for her grandchildren was especially precious. As one grandson lovingly shared:
"One of the most loving and firm grandmothers a man could ask for, always there for the worst and the best times, never scared to speak her mind or help you make up yours ... You will always be missed. Sincerely, your #1 Grandson.
"Pauletta’s family will forever cherish the meals she prepared, the prayers she prayed, the laughter she brought, and the countless ways she showed her love. Her absence will leave a space that cannot be filled, but the love she gave so freely will live on through the family she treasured.
Pauletta is survived by her three sons, Matthew Sexton of Glencoe, Arkansas; Jeremy Beaver of Nashville, Tennessee; and Jessie Beaver of Glencoe, Arkansas; one daughter, Amanda Hulsey of Salem, Arkansas; two sisters, Debrah Hill of Nashville, Tennessee, and Mary Hill of Coeburn, Virginia; five grandchildren, Heather Diane Cox, Austin William Hulsey, Preston Wayne Hulsey, Jaydah Nikkole Jean, and Kenadi Sexton; four great-grandchildren, Hunter and Stephanie Pipkin and Beau and Luke Cox; along with many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Sexton; her parents, Olsen Carl Hill and Oma Jean Hill; her sister, Shirley Hill; and her brother, Carl Olsen Hill.
Pauletta will be remembered for her strong spirit, her generous heart, her unwavering faith, and the way she made her family feel loved. She gave of herself without hesitation, spoke from the heart, and made sure the people around her knew they mattered. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she leaves behind will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
