Listen to Obituary

Reid Newton Grant was born May 29, 2008, and went to his home in Heaven September 6th, 2026, at the age of 18 years, 3 months, and 8 days.

Reid was born at Mountain Home Arkansas to Dennis Logan Grant and Kristi Newton. Big brother Devin was there to welcome him and asked “Can I pet him?’ He attended Viola School from Kindergarten to his graduation this past May. Reid being the youngest, always had his Brother Devin as his built in best friend, sometimes rival, and partner in crime. Once Devin got his license, Reid did become a bit nicer to his big brother.

To know Reid was to love Reid. He never met a stranger. The amount of people he knew and touched is immeasurable. He loved his friends and cherished each and every one. He could be quite stubborn and once he set his mind to something, there wasn’t much that could stand in his way. He was always listening though and learned something from each person he met.

Reid was a hard worker from a young age and has had many jobs. Most recently he worked as an intern at NAEC in Salem while he was attending ASU Newport getting his degree in High Voltage Line Technology.

Most importantly, Reid loved God and was a young man with great faith. Reid attended Viola Solid Rock Assembly. Reid knew where he was going and is now in heaven most likely playing some pranks on the streets of gold.

Reid leaves all of us still here to mourn but he is now home and this world is a better place for all that knew him. His laugh and unforgettable personality will be so missed. He would want us to remember the good times and keep living.

He is survived by his Mother Kristi Newton (Zach Smith), Father Dennis Logan Grant, and Brother Devin Grant (Ashlyn). Paternal grandparents, Dennis and Karen Grant, Aunt Amanda Stevens, Aunt Lacy Utchman, Aunt Teresa Newman, and Aunt Cheryl Shannon (William). A host of cousins and countless friends.

Reid was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandparents, Richard and Peggy Newton and his Paternal Grandmother, Karen Morrell.

Reid would want to go out with a bang. Please join us for a celebration of his life.
