Richard Dale Allen

Richard Dale Allen, 81, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in Melbourne, Arkansas. Richard was born November 17, 1939, in Lyons, New York to the late Ralph H. Allen and Eula (Wayman) Allen.

Richard spent his working years as an electrician and was of the Christian faith. He loved traveling and searching for antiques with his girlfriend, Ursula Ketchum. He enjoyed making Navajo Jewelry and refinishing furniture. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, companion, and friend.

Richard leaves to mourn his passing, two sons, Robert Allen (Monica) of Viola, Arkansas and Richie Allen of Viola, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Jessi Allen and wife Aneliya of Cabot, Arkansas and Sadye Allen of Houston, Texas; two great grandchildren, Emma Allen of Cabot, Arkansas and Freddie Allen of Cabot, Arkansas; sister, Sandra Whistler of Richmond, Virginia; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother (Donnie), and two sisters (June and Jeanie).

Family will have memorial services at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
