Richard Dean Gardner

Richard Dean Gardner, 48, of Springfield, Missouri, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri. Richard was born on August 2, 1971 to Everett Lee Gardner and Cecelia Narzelle (Carroll) Gardner in Pocahontas, Arkansas.

Richard spent his working years as a farm hand. Richard was a free spirit and did not like to be tied down. He was a loving son, brother, and friend. Richard is survived by his parents, Everett and Cecelia Gardner of Camp, Arkansas; three brothers, Lonnie Gardner of Camp, Arkansas, Keith Gardner and wife Rebecca of Fair Grove, Missouri, and Ricky Gardner and wife Tonya of Koshkonong, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister (Norra Haddock) and brother (Gerald Gardner).

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 6, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Keith Gardner and Rebecca Gardner officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home. Interment will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2020 in the Naylor Memorial Cemetery in Naylor, Missouri. Pallbearers will be Keith Gardner, Ricky Gardner, Eavan Gardner, and Lexton Haddock. Memorials may be made to The Kitchen Inc. (1630 N. Jefferson Avenue, Springfield, Missouri 65803). Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
