Robert Lee Wray

Robert Lee Wray, 73, of Viola, Arkansas departed this life on January 15, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas. Robert was born to the late Charlie Wray and Delia (Johnson) Wray on December 5, 1946 in West Plains, Missouri.

Robert was the owner and operator of Fun Days Restaurant and Game Room in Viola, Arkansas for twenty three years and Roberts Country- Fied Cooking food wagon for over five years. Robert loved high school basketball. Robert helped sponsor many of the basketball tournaments in the area with the Marvin Newton Classic being his favorite. Robert served on the Viola City Council and helped maintain the Grisso Cemetery. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend and was of the Church of Christ faith.  

Robert leaves to mourn his passing son: Charlie Wray and wife Melinda of Viola, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Marlee Wray of Viola, Arkansas and Grayson Wray of Viola, Arkansas; sister, Eunice Foster of Lebo, Missouri; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Dwain and Charles Wray), and sister (Lois Harber).

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 19, 2020 at the Viola High School Gymnasium with Bro. Chuck Moss and Bro. Craig Golden officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Interment will be in the Pickren Hall Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Dennis Harber, Dolan Johnston, Tim Adams, Gary Wray, Dennis Brown, Joe Hamby, Doug Johnston, and Derrick Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Dustin Cotter, Neal McCandlis, James Little, Fred Walker, Mike Roach, Jackie Estes, James Monclair, Gene Summers, Jim Harper, Gary Sexton, Dalton Brown, Jim Burks, Neil McWilliams, and Charles Willett.
