Roger Boyd Kinder

Roger Boyd Kinder, 67, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, in Salem, Arkansas. Roger was born in West Plains, Missouri on May 2, 1954, to Boyd Laverne Kinder and Veda Margene (Ward) Kinder.

Roger was united in marriage to Cheryl Lee Wetzel on November 30, 1974, in West Plains, Missouri and to this union four children were born. Roger spent his working years as a farmer and was the owner/operator of Kinder Transport.  Roger loved fishing, hunting, and was a member of the Moko Church of Christ in Moko, Arkansas. Roger served as a Justice of the Peace on the Fulton County Quorum Court, was a past board member of Farm Bureau, and was currently serving as Fire Chief with the Sturkie Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.

Roger leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Cheryl Kinder of Salem, Arkansas; two sons, Chris Kinder of Foster, Oklahoma and Adam Kinder of Thayer, Kansas; two daughters, Laurie Kinder of Metairie, Louisiana and Angie Kinder of Thayer, Missouri; two grandchildren, Kaul Kinder of Thayer, Kansas and Cason Kinder of Alton, Missouri; three brothers, Terry Kinder (Tammy) of Sturkie, Arkansas, Phillip Kinder (Jennifer) of Nixa, Missouri, and Kevin Kinder (Heather) of West Plains, Missouri; three sisters, Evelyn McNair (Ralph) of Yellville, Arkansas, Ronda Waggoner (Kirby) of West Plains, Missouri, and Lesa Strosnieder of West Plains, Missouri; many other relatives and friends. 

Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas with Bro. Roy Moss officiating.  Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be John Emery, Tom Spoor, Doug Buss, Ken Carter, Larry Marler, and Don Clark.  Memorials may be made to the Sturkie Volunteer Fire Department in Sturkie, Arkansas.  Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home, LLC in Salem, Arkansas.
