Ronald Claude Ray

Ronald Claude Ray, 78, of Elizabeth, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ronald was born August 13, 1942, to Houston Sylvesta Ray and Gladys Maloa (Gillium) Ray at Sweetwater, Texas.

Ronald married Patsy Charlene Booth on February 22, 1962, in Salem, Arkansas and to this union two children were born.  Ronald later married Johnnie Melinda Dunn on October 1, 2010, in Mountain Home, Arkansas.  Ronald spent his working years as a farmer and loved baseball, fishing, westerns, and reading.  Ronald was a member of the Oak Valley Baptist Church.  Ronald was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend.

Ronald leaves to mourn his passing, wife, Johnnie Ray of Elizabeth, Arkansas; daughter, Carla Becker of Springfield, Missouri; stepson, Dalton Pflaumer of Elizabeth, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren, Duell Robbins, Amanda Bryant, Sarah Crow, and Matthew Autry; 4 great grandchildren, Jordan Bryant, Cameron Bryant, Andrew Bryant, and Hattie Mae Blosi; many other relatives and friends.  Ronald was preceded in death by his first wife (Patsy Ray), parents, daughter (Pam Autry), and brother (Joe Ray). 

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas with Bro. Henry Parker officiating.  Visitation will be 9:00 AM until the time of service at Barker Funeral Home.  Interment will be in the Stateline Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Joe Benedict, Jason Willett, Dan Markovich, Ricky McDonald, Doug Smith, and Bobby Stone.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton Pflaumer, Cody Burgess, Donnie Wilson, Jeremy Roberts, Dennis Grant, and Carle Smith.  Memorials may be made to Stateline Cemetery Association.   Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
