Rouben Wayne Roddey

Rouben Wayne Roddey, 48, of Viola, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2020 in Viola, Arkansas. Rouben was born October 11, 1971 to Marvin Wayne Roddey and Janie Louise (Rice) Roddey in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

Roddey spent his working years as a deck hand on tugboats, served his country in the United States Army and was of the Christian faith. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and friend.

Roddey is survived by his wife, Michelle Roddey of Gamaliel, Arkansas; son, Michael Wayne Roddey of Gamaliel, Arkansas; step mother, Peggy Roddey of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; brother, Jimmy Roddey of Viola, Arkansas; two step sisters, Sandy Dent of Ocean Springs, Mississippi and Beverly Yearwood of Vicksburg, Mississippi; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
