Sheryl Elizabeth Nichols

Sheryl Elizabeth Nichols, age 71, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, in Salem, Arkansas. She was born on December 25, 1954, in Leavenworth, Kansas, to Alfred Nichols and Armilda (Mitchell) Nichols.

Sheryl was of the Baptist faith, and her faith was an important part of her life. She especially enjoyed spending time at church and being surrounded by her church family. Sheryl had a caring heart and found great joy in being there for others. Helping people came naturally to her, and she was always willing to offer kindness, encouragement, and a helping hand whenever she could.

Above all, Sheryl loved her family. The time she spent with those she loved was precious to her, and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild brought her much happiness throughout her life. She enjoyed the simple things that brought everyone together, especially playing cards and games. Sheryl also enjoyed attending the Special Olympics, an activity that held a special place in her heart.

Sheryl is survived by two sons, James Eversoll of Malvern, Arkansas, and Juston Jaco (Cady) of Hoxie, Arkansas; one daughter, Michelle Eversoll of Brookland, Arkansas; one brother, Randy Nichols (Patty) of Florida; one sister, Becky Barnett (Daniel) of Batesville, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, William Eversoll, Dakota Eversoll, Ethan Eversoll, Joanna Eversoll, Tavan Eversoll, Isaiah Eversoll, Gentry Jaco, Brody Jaco, Jaxon Jaco, and Kylie Jaco; one great-grandchild; along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Armilda Nichols; four brothers; two sisters; one brother-in-law; and two sisters-in-law.

Sheryl will be remembered for her caring heart, her willingness to help others, her love for her family, and the joy she found in fellowship with those around her. Her kindness and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
