Sidney Stone, 73, of Franklin, Arkansas, passed away on July 31, 2026, in Ash Flat, Arkansas. He was born on November 11, 1952, in Hammond, Indiana, to Steve Stone and Helen (Ustee) Stone.
Sidney proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a commercial welder and fabricator, earning the respect of those who knew him for his skill, work ethic, and dedication.
Sidney enjoyed life on his own terms. He loved spending time with his family, fishing whenever he had the opportunity, and was known for his outgoing personality and appreciation for good company. He never met many situations he couldn't find humor in and enjoyed visiting with friends wherever he went. Sidney also had a well-known fondness for women and was never shy about sharing his admiration. He lived life fully and enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.
He is survived by his two sons, Nathan and Andrew; three daughters, Krista, Johanna, and Lauren; several grandchildren; his brother, Dennis; two sisters, Brenda and Darlene; along with many other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Helen, and his brother, Jerry.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas.
