Skyler James Thomas, 17, of Oxford, Arkansas, left this world far too soon on Thursday, December 11, 2025, in Oxford, Arkansas. Born on September 18, 2008, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, to Brian Allen and Kellianne Josephine (Lorenz) Thomas, Skyler brought light, laughter, and joy into the lives of all who were blessed to know him.
Skyler was a junior at Salem High School, where his bright smile, gentle spirit, and genuine kindness made a lasting impression on classmates and teachers alike. He had a remarkable gift for creativity—he loved to sing, draw, and express himself through art. Skyler filled every room with energy and enthusiasm. He had a playful love for Squishmallows, Pop-Its, fidget spinners, and puzzles, small things that brought him comfort and joy and reflected his youthful heart.
Those who knew Skyler remember him as sweet, silly, polite, and incredibly thoughtful. He had a way of uplifting others without even trying. His hugs were warm, his smile contagious, and his caring nature touched the hearts of his family, friends, and community. Skyler loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.
He was of the Baptist faith, and his gentle soul and compassionate spirit were evident in the way he treated others—with understanding, patience, and love.
Skyler is survived by his loving parents, Brian and Kellianne Thomas of Oxford, Arkansas; two brothers, Dakota Thomas of Tacoma, Washington, and Gabriel Thomas of Oxford, Arkansas; and three sisters, Lillian Thomas (Tyler Dudra) of Oxford, Arkansas, Cadeyn Emter of Bismarck, North Dakota, and Khloey Emter of Bismarck, North Dakota. He is also survived by his grandfather, Raymond Thomas of Calico Rock, Arkansas, and his precious niece, Finley Dudra of Oxford, Arkansas, whom he adored.
Skyler is preceded in death by his grandparents and great-grandparents, who now welcome him into their loving arms.
Though his time here was far too brief, Skyler’s impact will live on forever—through the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he leaves behind. His family and friends will hold his spirit close always, cherishing the joy he brought into their lives.
